The vineyard is well cultivated, but it does not produce. The vineyard of the Lord is the house of Israel and the people of Judah, his cherished plants.

2nd READING PHILIPPIANS 4: 6-9 (Wholesome Thoughts) Pray to God for your needs. God will guard over you. Discern what is true, noble, and good and pure, loved and honored, virtuous and worthy of praise. God’s peace will be with you. THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW 21:33-43 (The Tenant Farmers) Jesus uses the parable of the vineyard owner. Salvation is offered to all. The chosen who reject Christ are really turning him over to the whole world. The vineyard will be leased to others. The Kingdom of God will produce fruit.

AMERICAN MARTYRS OCIA will be held on Monday evenings in the Parish Hall. AMERICAN MARTYRS RAFFLE We are raffling a freshly processed beef again this year. We need your help selling tickets! Please consider taking some and selling them to your family/friends/coworkers. You may pick up tickets to sell, or buy tickets, at the parish office or after mass on Sundays. You may also call Cindy Light @ 812-595-3673 to arrange a time to get tickets. Tickets are $10 each or 3/$25. We will also be having a half n half drawing at the wine tasting. You may buy tickets, for $2 each and have a chance at winning half the money taken in. If you want to sell these to family/friends, take down their name and collect $2/ticket. Turn the names and money into the office or to Cindy Light. We will fill out tickets for them. Our Lady of Guadalupe Rosaries at American Martyrs The 46 rosaries of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a traditional 46 - day Catholic devotion prayed from October 28 to December 12 to prepare for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Seven volunteers are needed to pray the rosary daily for one week. Father will bless the family and picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe on the first Sunday. Then the family will return the picture the next Sunday for the next family and so on until the seven weeks are completed. Volunteers are needed for the weeks of October 18th, October, 25th, November 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Anyone wishing to participate in the weekly rosary may contact Jose Guevara or Hank Jentzen. More details will be mentioned in the announcements on Saturday and Sunday. Thank you. THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW 22:1-14 (The Wedding Banquet) Jesus teaches using the parable who gave a wedding banquet. Invited guests refused to come or mistreated his servants. The king destroyed these and invited the poor and simple. Even one of these did not accept his kindness.
