LITURGY OF THE WORD 1st READING ISAIAH 55:1-3 (Receive God’s Bread)
Sharing in the happiness of the kingdom is God’s free gift to all who thirst for God.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM Ps 145 (God’s Bounty) “The hand of the Lord feeds us; he answers all our needs.” 2nd READING ROMANS 8:35, 37-39 (The Love of Christ) We should have a firm hope of sharing in the messianic banquet, the happiness promised to us by our God. Nothing can separate us from the love of God that comes to us in Christ Jesus THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW 14: 13-21 (Multiplication of the Loaves) The event of this passage (feeding the people) is a messianic sign that will find its fulfillment in the true messianic banquet, the eucharist, which contains the promise of everlasting life in God’s kingdom. NEWS, INFO, & EVENTS SCRIP SCRIP orders are due on the first weekend of every month. Order forms are located at the entrances. PRAYER REQUESTS Please email any prayer requests to Kathy Karmire. All parishioners are invited to attend also - come support those learning about our faith! The program we will use this year is a new program so, if you've attended in the past, consider attending again. WE NEED ALTAR SERVERS! For confidence in God’s love for each of us: that we may rely upon God’s generous love to sustain us and bring good out of all the experiences of our lives. For Wisdom: that we may be able to resist the allure of advertisements that offer easy and quick solutions to life’s problems and invite the Holy Spirit to lead us into a deeper experience of God’s providence. For the Special Intentions of: Pope Leo XIV, Archbishop Thompson, and Father Brian. For the healing all who are sick. Including: The Gilstrap Family, Brian Barger, Marcy Donohue, Mary Smith, Matthew Cullins, Pat Daugherty, & Jane Zatonski. That God will answer all prayer requests & help all who are sick. For all who have died and for all other Mass intentions this weekend: Peggy Enteman, Robyn Johnson & Family, & John Nelson. May they share in the resurrection. |
