Food For The Poor
Dear Parishioners,
Please join us the weekend of Oct. 8, 2011 to hear The Rev. Thomas J. Dempsey
speak at all the services about a ministry providing
direct relief to the poor throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
Monsignor Dempsey will share what he has witnessed about
Food for the Poor’s mission to care for the destitute as a means
of living out of the Gospel mandate to lobe one another.
Please join me in welcoming Monsignor Dempsey.

THANK YOU
Dr. Gary Taylor has been leading the Adult Ed for the past two years
and is unable to continue due to employment change.
We want to thank him for sharing his knowledge and empowering us to continue the classes.

Daily Mass Schedule
Father Alberic Smith from Spokane, Washington,
will be spending two weeks vacation in Salem, visiting his brothers,
Arthur and Cecil, and their families. He has been doing this since 1965.
He will have daily mass at 9 a.m. starting
Friday, Oct. 14, and continuing through Thursday, Oct. 27
unless otherwise announced.
An exception is Tuesday, Oct. 18, when he will be celebrating mass in the
newly-remodeled chapel at St. Vincent Hospital in Salem

Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. and the public is invited.

Come and get it…
The Parish is updating the area under the bell tower to make it
a bit more maintenance free and eye appealing.
There are a few salvable plants there among the weeds.
If any Parish member would like to salvage them
please feel free to do so in the next couple of weeks.
Any questions see Steve Duke.
